Ahhhh summer: the sweatiest time of the year, the season of yacht rock, the favorite child of Mother Nature, and the unofficial season for white pants. I've always been on the lookout for a great pair of white pants; a pair that didn't show the ripples of my knees or my underwear underneath. Behold my holy grail white jeans from NYDJ (similar here). I decided to make two looks with these summer staple pants. The first outfit is all about summer. Fall? I don't know her. Winter? Never heard of her. Spring? Irrelevant. Summer. Summer. Summer. I paired my white jeans with, get this, my great-grandmother's silk scarf as a top. It took me more time than I'll admit to figure out how to tie the scarf into a top. I then added the layer of my white silk button down because why not? It's summer! Bring on the white clothing and silks! I finished off the look with a chunky black belt and my Gucci bag. Look number two took on a more transition-to-fall persona. Fun fact about me: I never dress for the weather! I always just put on whatever I feel like wearing that day regardless of the weather, which, in retrospect, is not the best idea. Leading me to my next point of outfit 2: blazers and humidity don't mix! Anyway, I took my Rex Orange County tee and layered it under my blazer, finishing off my transition-to-fall look with my Louis Vuitton bag. The moral of the story is never question wearing white jeans in summer, but do question the weather.
